About Grand Lake

The Lake

Grand Lake is a beautiful 5,600-acre spring-fed lake located in Presque Isle County, Michigan. Known for its clear waters, scenic islands and excellent fishing, it's a place where memories are made and community thrives.

The lake is home to a diverse ecosystem and offers exceptional opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming, and wildlife observation. Its spring-fed waters remain clear and cool throughout the summer months.

The Association

The Grand Lake Association was formed in 1915 to provide and promote recreational facilities and activities, to protect and preserve wildlife and natural beauty, and to promote community enterprises for the betterment of Grand Lake and surrounding communities.

Each year, the Association organizes a full calendar of community events — from the beloved Pancake Breakfast that kicks off the summer season to the Member Appreciation Picnic that closes it out. These gatherings bring together residents, property owners, and visitors to celebrate everything that makes Grand Lake special.
